Sorrentino's &
Deli

Hoagies, breakfast, cold cuts and the essentials — under the El on Cresson Street.

The heartbeat of the neighborhood. The Philadelphia Citizen
Our Story

Forty-something years on the same corner.

Sorrentino's has been a family-owned deli, sandwich shop and corner grocery on Cresson Street since 1980 — three generations of the Sorrentino family running the same shop, in the same building, under the same Manayunk El.

The building itself is older still. It started as the John P. Miller butcher shop around 1900, and you can still feel it: original wooden shelves, vintage butcher hooks hanging from the ceiling, and old photographs of the neighborhood on the walls.

Come in for an Italian hoagie, a turkey hoagie, a cheesesteak, a breakfast sandwich on a toasted everything bagel — or just a quart of milk and a lottery ticket. Whatever you need from a corner deli, we've probably got it.
